Gas Kit owners have a unique product. Extensive research and testing over many years has produced a gas kit that almost perfectly reproduces the cooking flavour of our famous charcoal kettles.
By using two heat settings, your Weber® kettle can be used to provide the same temperatures that make charcoal cooking the benchmark for flavour. The HIGH gas setting is designed to provide the temperatures produced by charcoal during the first hour of cooking. The LOW gas setting provides the temperatures produced by charcoal after one hour of cooking. Used in this way, the flavour of a roast cooked using the gas kit is virtually indistinguishable from a roast cooked using charcoal.
