Sizzlin garlic prawns

Ingredients

  • 500grams green (raw) prawns
  • 40ml olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 small red chilli, finely diced
  • pinch of safron threads (soaked)
  • 20 ml boiling water, optional

Method

  • Peel prawns, removing heads, but leaving tails intact.
  • Remove intestinal tract (devein)
  • Place sizzling plate on hot BBQ grill and allow to heat for 10 min.
  • Add garlic oil and chilli.
  • Cook for 1-2 min until fragrant
  • Add prawns and cook for 2 min then turn over.
  • Add safron water, if using and cook for further 2 min
